Our establishment story began by merging our creative design and interior architectural experiences with the enchanting world of outdoor spaces.

Our Establishment Story:

M. Arch. Onur Kamil Tan stepped into the architecture industry in 2004. Throughout this journey, he served in various prestigious architecture and interior design firms. In 2013, he founded his own interior design company to bring his design visions to life. Together with his experienced architect wife, M.Arch. Merve Tan, they manage Arkitan Architecture, a company they founded in Istanbul/Turkiye. They specialize in both design and turnkey projects in the interior design field. To extend their expertise in this field to the outdoors and embark on a fresh creative adventure, they founded Arkitan Outdoor Living in California.

Collaboration with Schildr

Arkitan Outdoor Living is the official and authorized dealer of Schildr Global in the Southern California region. In 2022, Schildr entrusted Arkitan Architecture with the design and turnkey projects for their factory and administrative office building. This collaboration was an extremely satisfying experience for both parties. Subsequently, we undertook the showroom designs of several Schildr dealers in America and produced all custom-made furniture in our workshop. Following these trusting commercial relationships, the excitement born from the combination of Schildr's expertise in outdoor products and our architectural design and supervisory experience led to the establishment of Arkitan Outdoor Living.
